I am currently 6 weeks out from my first bikini competition for the season, so I thought it would be a great time to share with you all of the supplements I am currently taking as a plant-based bikini competitor.
Despite following a flexible dieting approach, I tend to keep things very simple during comp prep to minimise tracking errors and maximise my opportunity for success. You may think that bikini competitors live off diet pills and fat burners but it is actually quite the opposite!
Supplements won't magically get you shredded but these are a few of my favourites that make dieting just that little bit easier for me. They are all vegan-friendly too!
Ultimate Plant Protein by B Raw
Ultimate Plant Protein is my absolute go-to! I don’t think a day has gone by in the last couple of years where I haven’t used it. Unlike other vegan proteins, it has a smooth texture and tastes incredible. Ultimate Plant Protein also contains a complete amino acid profile and is super easy on the gut.
When losing weight, your protein consumption is very important! Consuming a sufficient amount of protein will help maintain muscle mass, keep you fuller for longer, and control cravings.
This protein powder is great to add to oats, smoothies, and yoghurt bowls.

Pre FX by Genetix Nutrition Active Series
I don’t take pre-workout every day but if I need a boost to get me through a heavy leg session, Pre FX is what I turn to.
This pre-workout contains 275mg of caffeine per serving, which will definitely give you that surge to push hard and power through your workout.
If you train in the afternoon and don't want to overload on caffeine before bed, you can always take a half or quarter serving.
Pre FX is a great bang for buck pre-workout, won't give you that mid-afternoon crash, and also tastes delicious.

Adrenal Switch by Switch Nutrition
The ultimate recovery drink!

Because caffeine is life when you are on comp prep!
You’ve probably seen Before You Speak all over your socials for a while and if you haven’t tried it, I can confirm that it certainly lives up to the hype. Besides getting me out of bed in the morning, this coffee is also great at curbing sugar cravings as it is nice and sweet.
Designed to increase mental clarity, support fat loss, and reduce inflammation, this coffee contains a blend of green coffee bean extract, MCT powder, Siberian ginseng, turmeric, and black pepper.

PB+ Powdered Peanut Butter by Macro Mike
I am a huge PB fan but unfortunately during comp prep, fitting peanut butter into my macros is virtually impossible if I want to feel somewhat satiated after my meal. PB+ Powdered Peanut Butter on the other hand is very macro-friendly and easily fits into my daily calorie target.
One serve of PB+ contains 6.3g of protein, 3.2g of carbohydrates, and only 1.2g of fat, where a regular peanut butter usually contains around 11g of fat per serve.
Simply mix PB+ with water for a creamy peanut butter that tastes incredible when drizzled over oats, pancakes, or even celery (if you know, you know).
